With the Training Aid Framework 2 companies receive reimbursement for training costs for their employees

The deadline for TAF2 applications has just been extended. Applications need to be submitted to ETC by 16th January 2014.

 
What is the Training Aid Framework (TAF2)?
The Training Aid Framework 2015 (TAF2) is a scheme that allows companies or self-employed individuals to receive reimbursement for training costs for their employees. As part of the recent Malta Budget 2015, an allocation of €2.5 million was made to this initiative, which is in line with the Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014. The TAF2 is an extension of the first Training Aid Framework which ended in June 2013. The Employment and Training Corporation (ETC) is the body responsible for managing applications.
 
Who can apply for the TAF2?
This Training Aid Framework is open for companies (partnerships, family businesses, associations) or self-employed individuals and offers up to 70% reimbursement for training-related costs (depending on the size of the company).
 
What costs can be saved by the TAF2?
Provided that companies applying for this scheme satisfy the eligibility criteria, reimbursement is given for:
  • trainers’ costs and fees including training materials and flights
  • trainees’ salary for the hours during which the trainees participate in training
 
What BLM Academy courses are covered by the TAF2?
The Academy of Business Leaders offers:

1. An accredited Award in HR Practices and Employment Law
The training has a total of 40 contact hours, is spread over just 4 months and successful trainees will receive an MQF Level 5 Award. The aim of this training programme is to bring employment law and HR together giving participants the ability to understand, evaluate, implement and manage a broad range of Human Resources matters and employment legal issues within their respective organisations.

2. An accredited ISMM Certificate in Sales & Marketing
The training has a total of 26 contact hours and is also spread over 4 months, with a certificate issued by the Institute of Sales & Marketing Management to successful candidates. The programme is aimed to promote standards of excellence in sales while having a recognised accreditation.
 
What is the deadline for applications?
Applications need to be submitted to ETC by 16th January 2014.
